Tomasa

Silverio was a school teacher and on the side

taught guitar lessons. His wife Tomasa ran a

small pharmacy. Tomasa had a micro-loan to

help her keep her pharmacy open. We

learned that the interest rate was 100%. And

so with their first loan Silverio and Tomasa

paid off the loan sharks. Over time they took

many loans from TLJ. What makes this story

really amazing is that Silverio was an

incredible sceptic when we first met him. He

eventually became the poster boy in the town

of Prosperina for TLJ.
