The Lending Journey Resilience Tour bicycle ride across Ecuador Autumn Dawn's story

Autumn Dawn

North America: Canada

I’ve grown up on a reservation in northern British Columbia. This ride is a chance to represent my nation, and to tell our story.

I also want to prove to myself that I can do this — and that with enough grit and determination I can accomplish anything, especially climbing this mountain!

Myriam Beatriz Males Anrango

South America: Ecuador

I am a Quechua Indian and I live in Ecuador, the third daughter of five. Our parents encouraged us to study, and I have also worked in construction, and love sports. I’m riding in place of my sister, who had to back out. I didn't think twice, and I do it with pleasure, because every bit we can do to help makes a difference. Thank you!

Jelba Rivera

Central America: Nicaragua

I rode for a short distance in our first ride across Nicaragua. This time, it’s farther, and it will be my first trip outside my country.

The first time, I rode to show my daughters that anything is possible. This time, this adventure, I ride for my people of Nicaragua. With God, all things are possible
